Foote's Pond
Buy a Brick
Foote’s Pond Park is Award Winning: Premio Internazionale Torsanlorenzo 2007 Second Prize in the “Landscape Design in Transformation of the Territory – Environmental Restoration, Renewal, and Recovery” Category.
The Town of Morristown’s Restoration of Foote’s Pond Wood is nearing completion. During 2007 we hope to dredge the pond. We will also complete the handicapped accessible trail connecting the James Street sidewalk (across from Erskine Drive) to the bridge and the dock. This trail includes a bluestone and brick Donor Path connecting the sidewalk to the fireplace area to be completed in the spring of 2007.
To help us achieve this final goal you are invited to buy a 4” x 8” brick, with your personal inscription on it, for all to see for years to come. Your name, or that of a loved one, will be engraved into a brick and will be displayed permanently at the walkway connecting the sidewalk on James Street to the stone dust path adjacent to the fireplace. These engraved bricks will be featured in the central part of the Donor Path. What a way to leave a lasting impression! Click for Foote's Pond Buy a Brick Order Form
All funds received will be eligible for 1:2 matching funds from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. Donations will be kept in a separate bank account and will be used to fund the dredging and other construction costs of the project.
