NOTE: This section speaks to the pick up of dead animals ONLY.
1) The Department of Public Works will only pick up animals in roadway within Town’s right away limits.
2) Employees will be furnished with all proper safety gear as well as any necessary equipment and training needed to perform task in timely manner.
3) Disposal will be thru a container systems within guide lines of Morris County disposal rules and regulations in County Solid Waste Guidelines.
5) Any deer on Morris County Roads will be called into Morris County Report a Pothole or Road Maintenance Issue at 973-285-6763 or e-mailed to PublicWorks@co.morris.nj.us. To arrange pick up services.
6) Any deer on NJ State Roads, call NJDOT at 609-588-6211 to arrange pick up services.
7) Any animal on private property will not be picked up by the Town of Morristown.
TRAPPING OF NUISANCE WILDLIFE IS NOT A REQUIRED SERVICE UNDER STATUTE FOR MUNICIPAL AMINAL CONTROL.
