It is the mission of the Morristown Division of Health to provide programs and services which promote and protect the health, welfare, and safety of all the men, women, and children who live, work, or do business in the Town of Morristown.

Vital Statistics

The Registrar of Vital Statistics is historically part of the Health and Human Services Department however, it is under the direction of the Administration.

Vital Statistics is located at 200 South Street, 1st floor – lobby, Morristown NJ 07960.

Service window hours of operation: Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4pm (closed on holidays)

Environmental Health

Services are based on State and local sanitary codes and are conducted by Registered Environmental Health Specialists (REHS) in the following areas:

  • Retail Food Establishments
  • Recreational Bathing Facilities
  • School & Childcare Facilities
  • Youth Camps
  • Body Art Establishments (tattoo, piercing, etc.)
  • Beauty, Barber, and Nail Salons
  • Massage & Bodywork Establishments
  • Retail Electronic Smoking Device Establishments (enforcement)
  •  Environmental Lead Investigations

Morristown is joining the City Health Dashboard! The Dashboard provides cities big and small with city- and neighborhood-level data on health and its social drivers, as well as data broken down by age, sex, and race/ethnicity. This year, 51 cities were selected to join the Dashboard as part of their annual Put Us on the Map Challenge – an opportunity for smaller cities to gain access to local data – and Morristown is one of them. Local data for our city is now live on the site with access to over 25 measures of health. Begin exploring how to use data to improve well-being in our community on the Dashboard.     #PutUsOnTheMap
