J. Robert Tracey Veterans Memorial Park

On July 4, 2012, Veteran's Park located at the corner of South Street and Madison Avenue was renamed J. Robert Tracey Veteran's Park  in honor of J. Robert Tracey, a lifelong Morristown resident, an advocate of veterans, a former Alderman and a 30 year Postmaster from 1961 to 1989. 

Robert served in the Navy during World War II, in the New Jersey National Guard and in the Army during the Korean War, sat on the Board of Aldermen for six years and was a member of the Morristown and Morris Township Veteran's Day and Memorial Day Committee for 25 years.
