Welcome to the website of the Morristown Bureau of Police, the agency responsible for providing all police services to the Town of Morristown.

Located in the heart of historic Morris County, Morristown is home to a population of over 25,000 residents and swells to over 100,000 people daily as people travel to and from work. The Town of Morristown is contained within 2.8 square miles but includes a regional Level II Trauma Center, one of the busiest airports in New Jersey, a large number of county facilities including the Morris County Courthouse, many corporate offices and a busy downtown business district.
 
It is home to a bustling dining and nightlife scene with numerous restaurants, nightclubs and taverns around town and continues to grow as one of New Jersey's premiere destinations. 
 

Commanded by Chief Darnell Richardson, the Morristown Bureau of Police has an authorized strength of 60 sworn Police Officers.  From these numbers, the department maintains an active uniformed patrol, investigative capacity, and administrative function for  all emergency calls for service. These numbers are bolstered by civilian staff members as well as Special Police Officers to maintain the highest state of readiness for the Town of Morristown.
