Morristown Recreation offers a year-round selection of athletics, camps, instructional programs, and special events for the residents of Morristown and surrounding communities. Join the excitement at one of our seasonal events, like the Easter Egg Hunt or Halloween Event, or simply unwind in one of our many parks & playgrounds.
Morristown Recreation operates Burnham Park Pool, a municipal pool facility that provides swim lessons for members and activities like the Burnham Barracudas Swim Team.
The Recreation Department oversees park and field usage throughout the Town of Morristown. All organized groups and individuals wishing to use our facilities must apply for a permit. Note: Park & field usage is for Non-Profit Organizations & Private Events ONLY.

Registration Information
- Community Pass:
- All registration is done online through Community Pass. In order to register, you must have a Community Pass account.
- DO NOT create a duplicate Community Pass account - you only need 1 account across all entities.
- If you forgot your password, please call the Recreation Office at 973-292-6717 for a password reset.
- Registration is accepted:
- Online at Community Pass. Community Pass requires a credit card, debit card, or eCheck for payment. Please be aware that there is an additional processing fee of 2.99% of your transaction total with a credit or debit card and 1.00% of your transaction total with an eCheck.
- In-person at the Recreation Office - 200 South Street, 3rd floor. We accept cash, check (Payable to Town of Morristown), and credit/debit card. Do not mail cash.
- Receipts: will be emailed to the email address associated with your Community Pass account. Confirmations and receipts are dependent on an email address provided on your account.
- Payments: All program fees must be paid at the time of registration and prior to the first class.
- Out-of-Town Fees: Non-residents can register for Morristown Recreation programs and activities for an additional fee of $10.00 per program.
We appreciate your interest in our programs and want to ensure that your experience with us is as smooth and transparent as possible. To this end, we have updated our refund policy effective May 1, 2024 to better serve you.
Refund Requests:
- Request for refunds must be written and emailed to rec@townofmorristown.org and must be received at least 10 days prior to the program start date to be eligible for consideration.
Refund Criteria:
- NO refunds of registrations will be issued once a program has begun.
- Refunds for eligible requests will be processed to the original payment method.
Cancellation Policy:
- Refunds/credits will be given if the Recreation Department cancels a program. Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment; register ahead of time to avoid cancellations. We do not offer prorating on any of our programs.
